shindigs and such.

i am extremely excited, which is definitely out of character for me - i am not the girl who stays up until about 4 am on average on the eve of every birthday and christmas.
i am so psyched because tomorrow night is another one of the usual crew's shall we say... gatherings. these happen every couple of months or so for any given reason, the justification of tomorrow night's being that:
a) exams are now over until june next year
b) it was phoebe's birthday in june of this year and she was yet to have a party
c) rhea arrived back from her five week trip to germany about four weeks ago
which is good enough for me, and for everyone else. it is 60's themed and i spent the majority of tonight sticking marijuana leaves cut out from green card onto a headband so that i can be a marijuana leaf. i was tossing up the idea of going as a housewife, giant spliff or a hippy, although the latter was the last resort because it is so stereotypical and boring, but the headpiece turned out perfectly, so it is not necessary.
there is no particular reason to be excited. just when placed with the specific bunch of people going tomorrow night, some sort of crazy button gets flicked on inside me and an obnoxiousness to put all ADD sufferers to shame is evoked.

here is an example of what happened not last time, but the time before:

myself and katie with plastic bones up our noses, which we got off our friend kalin's birthday cake. for shame? nah.

and then, last time, i spent the whole night with a few of my friends attempting to scare the shit out of the other gathering-goers who were watching 28 weeks later, and my camera got smashed up (it has not yet been repaired).

so fingers crossed tomorrow night does not follow quite down the same path as the others and i maintain control a little better.








but, i am exceedingly fired up. oh well.
